Final Features

  • 6 total Levels
  • Two different game modifiers: Standard and Difficult Mode
    • Each mode has 3 different levels, with each progressive level growing in size, difficulty, and complexity
  • Besides the increase in length and hardness, difficult mode introduces two, new types of hazards that damage the player: Saws and Acid blocks 
    • Acid blocks damage the player on contact and force them to be careful with how they traverse the level. Introduced in Standard Level 3 in order to introduce players to this new damaging entity.
    • Saws are fast and dangerous objects that continuously travel in patterns that damage the player on contact. Unique only to Difficult mode.
  • Changes to UI in main menu screen that allows the choosing of two different game modes
    • When the user reaches the final level in Standard mode, rather than forcing the player back to the main menu, an option pops up that allows the user to go to the next difficulty. This allows for a more seamless transition to the next part of the game without having to go back to the main menu.
